GERMAN TECHNOLOGY. EUROPEAN LAUNCH. NOW IN ORBIT. 🚀🛰️

#CyBEEsat is in orbit and transmitting telemetry. Congratulations to the entire CyBEEsat team and to Isar Aerospace on bringing Spectrum and its payloads to orbit - a historic milestone for German and European spaceflight. 🇩🇪🇪🇺

For us at Quantum Galactics, this is a very special milestone. We are proud to have contributed to the satellite bus, CyBER OBC and RACCOON OS.

What we value just as much as the technical achievement is the collaboration behind it. Over the course of the project, we have greatly enjoyed working closely with the teams at Technische Universität Berlin, Universität Potsdam, the Berlin Nanospacecraft Alliance and many highly motivated and skilled colleagues and contributors. The open exchange, shared effort and mutual support have already led to new ideas and follow-up activities beyond CyBEEsat itself.

Thanks to the Deutsche Raumfahrtagentur im DLR and to all partners and contributors who invested so much time and effort to make this mission possible.

Now the work in orbit begins. 📡

WE MADE HISTORY TOGETHER. 🚀🛰️🇩🇪🇪🇺

#CyBEEsat (TUBSAT-33) is in orbit and successfully transmitting telemetry. 📡🛰️

This weekend marked a major milestone for German and European spaceflight: Isar Aerospace’s Spectrum reached orbit and successfully deployed its payloads, including CyBEEsat, the first German satellite launched aboard a commercial European microlauncher.

Germany now has the complete value chain for small-satellite missions, from spacecraft development to commercial launch.

For Isar Aerospace, the flight marked another historic achievement: becoming the first commercial space company from Europe to successfully deliver satellites into orbit.

We would like to thank Isar Aerospace and the Deutsche Raumfahrtagentur im DLR for enabling this flight opportunity through the German Microlauncher Competition.

Job well done, Isar Aerospace. What a flight. 🚀

The launch took place on September 05th 2026 at 10:12 pm CEST (08:12 UTC) from Andøya, Norway. Immediately after deployment, our CyBEEsat team started mission operations. At 02:02 CEST (00:02 UTC) on 6 September, during a pass over the Australian east coast, we received the first beacon signals from CyBEEsat through the global #SatNOGS ground station network.

Since then, we have received further signals and first telemetry from our small 1U spacecraft (see the last image of this post).

A little nerd update from orbit:
🛰️ Temperature: ~0–7 °C
🛰️ Angular rate: ~6°/s
🛰️ Measured acceleration: ~0 m/s² - so yes, we are indeed in orbit ;)

Seeing those first signals arrive after all the work that went into this mission was a very special moment for all of us. I am proud of my team and everyone who supported the mission.

CyBEEsat is a compact experimental and educational 1U CubeSat and behind it stands an extraordinary amount of collaboration. Over the past years, students, researchers, startups, alumni and partners have contributed step by step with their time, hardware, software, expertise and ideas, often simply because they believed in the mission and wanted to make it happen.

A huge thank you to the Chair of Space Technology - TU Berlin, Felix Lang and the Universität Potsdam / ROSI team, Quantum Galactics GmbH, the Berlin Nanospacecraft Alliance, our RACCOON OS partners, 2BCOM Space, Exolaunch, SatNOGS and all students, researchers, alumni, supporters and space enthusiasts who contributed along the way.

We made this together. 🛰️

Now the next phase begins: operating CyBEEsat, evaluating the telemetry and preparing the experiments onboard.

More updates on CyBEEsat, #ROSI, #RACCOONOS and our onboard experiments will follow over the coming days. Have a look at the official channels from Isar Aerospace, TU Berlin, Uni Potsdam and Quantum Galactics for updates and more information.
